Deadly flash floods have left the people of Buenos Aries Province treading water.
Flood victim Natalia Lescano said
, "I don’t have a television, I don’t have a refrigerator, I don’t have mattresses, clothing. Nothing. Look at how high the water reached the wall. It’s amazing, truly, in just two hours. A disaster."
At least six people died in the city of Buenos Aires, where the rains lasted seven hours.
Hundreds of thousands of people were affected after poor drainage led to flooded streets and power cuts.
In La Plata, between 30 to 40 centimetres of rain fell in a matter of hours.
Half of the city was submerged and residents left stranded on rooftops.

She says some residents are fearful for their personal safety as night time approaches.
Argentine President Cristina Fernandez said, "What people are fearful of, as evening approaches, is that they are seeing some strangers in the area and they’re fearful of public safety."
Fernandez says she has asked the Argentina’s Minister of Security and Justice, Ricardo Casal, for more security patrols in the area.
At least 2,500 people have been moved out of their homes in Buenos Aires Province.
Police and neighbours have teamed up in La Plata and are using boats to move families to higher ground.
About ten more centimeters of rain is expected before the bad weather finally passes.
